¹⁹ The Lord said, “I will make all my goodness pass in front of you. And I will announce my name, the Lord, in front of you. I will have mercy on whom I have mercy. And I will show love to those I love. ²⁰ But you can’t see my face,” he said. “No one can see me and stay alive.”

²¹ The Lord continued, “There is a place near me where you can stand on a rock.
